On this one I was inspired to built a very special guitar. I was not sure that I would be able to make this inlays with just a jewelers saw and For this build, I was inspired to create a very special guitar. I wasn't sure I could pull off these inlays using just a jeweler's saw and a Dremel router—but to my surprise, I nailed it.

It's built with Brazilian Imbuia back and sides, paired with an Italian Alpine spruce top.

Features an ebony bridge and fretboard, with quilted maple inlays and flamed maple binding around the body, fretboard, and headstock.

The Jesus-guitar

This might not appeal to everyone, but I hope folks appreciate the handiwork poured into it.

Curves

I decided to make some nice curves on this end wedge.

Holy Grail

The asymmetrical rosette was another first for me. The "grail" is composed of silhouettes of two figures descending from the fretboard.

Elegant design

I had many ideas for decorating this guitar, the challenge was to eliminate as much as possible and still be able to keep the essence.

I think I hit my goal on this one.

The last supper

Hand-cutting The Last Supper (46 mm high) with a jeweler's saw and routing it into the fretboard took about 40 hours. I was thrilled when I sanded it down after gluing and saw the final result.
I still can't believe I pulled it off.

Routing in progress

Routing out the pockets for the maple inlay is quite a bit of work, but incredibly rewarding to watch it take shape.
